Operation Smile advocate Funeka Cele en-route to visit patients in the rural areas surrounding the town of Bizana in the Eastern Cape, South Africa. Funeka worked as a midwife and nurse in the Mbizana district for over 30 years, since she retired she now dedicates her time and energies to recruiting and assisting patients through her work with Operation Smile. Since joining Op Smile in 2008 she has volunteered on numerous local and international missions. The translation of Funeka's name from isiXhosa means, Needed.
